In the highlands of Pitalito, Huila is the farm of Elsa Benavidez. The farm is named Finca San Lucas after Elsa's family.
Coffee is a family affair for Elsa. She started on her parents' farm picking coffee cherries when she was just 12 years old. Over time, she realised speciality coffee was a way to create a stable income and provide for her family and community. From 2014 she has focused entirely on speciality grade coffee giving great attention to detail to every aspect of her coffee production and continuously striving to improve.
We are excited to bring this incredible, naturally processed Caturra lot to Scotland! This is a real summer coffee with huge tropical fruit notes, a lovely sweet citrus that reminds us of pink grapefruit, all rounded off perfectly with a sweet caramel.
