Eby Samoya and her husband Antonio decided to turn their pasture land into a coffee farm 31 years ago. After a hard start learning the ropes, they have created the most amazing and prized coffee farm in the south of Guatemala.
For the last five years their focus has been on producing speciality coffee. Over these years they have mastered the processes and techniques required to produce coffee of outstanding quality.
The farm currently processes nearly all of its coffee using the natural method due to a lack of available water in the area. This, alongside excellent weather, gives the perfect slow drying times meaning they are really suited to producing exceptional natural coffees, of which this is a great example.
We haven't really ever shared the thoughts or madness behind our coffee names but this one is in honour of our good friend. He has had a rough time recently but has weathered it with and under amazing grace with his bass guitar firmly in hand. Amazing bass, how sweet the sound!
