We think real coffee drinkers drink decaf and deserve a cracking coffee. If you want a delicious coffee at any time and are not having it for the buzz then you know you are a die hard coffee fan. 

This coffee is decaffeinated in Colombia itself, which is unusual as most decafs are shipped to Canada or Germany for this process, which adds more air miles to your cup. Completing the decaffeination process at origin reduces the air miles and brings more employment to the local area.

This coffee is named after the 2 Clydesdale horses that used to live in the building that is now our coffee roastery!

Twenty farms in the municipality of Pitalito bring their coffee together to make this stunning decaf. The coffee is hand sorted, washed and processed at each individual farm with extra attention being given to the drying part of the process to ensure consistency and uniformity.

The coffees are then brought together at the Descafescol plant in Manizales. Here, it is decaffeinated using a sugar cane process that uses nothing other than ethyl acetate derived 100% from sugar cane mixed with mountain water. This removes 99.7% of the caffeine with the beauty of it being that it preserves most of the original coffee flavours while adding in some fruity notes and some complexity.

Cocoa flavours come to the front in this moreish coffee. The cocoa doesnt get it all its own way though as the subtle fruit character shine through with raisins coming forward. A tantalising vanilla note supports the whole show while cheering on from the side of the stage.
